The Door to Trilesk characters:

Here is where I will keep adding deeper dives into the characters and backstory. This is a work in progress so check back often!

Kate Jones – the main character. A 20 year old art student living with her BFF, Maggie. Trying to coast under her mom’s radar and live her life.

Esmerelda Jones – The 2nd part of the Dual POV. 48 year old missing estranged aunt to Kate. Unapologetically herself and a bit larger than life.

Janice Jones – Esmerelda’s sister and Kate’s mom. Holding onto generational trauma and can’t let go of Kate. Child advocate lawyer.

Mrs. B – Trusted and loved housekeeper to Esmerelda and the house. Her love language is always being ready with a cup of hot or iced tea, and some baked goods. Fiercely loyal to Esmerelda due to their past history.

Maggie – Kate’s BFF and ride or die. They’ve been best friends for years. She’s smart and calls it like she sees it. She’s also an artist but much further ahead in her career than Kate. She never gives up on the people she loves.

Mr. H – The groundskeeper. His talent lies with making anything grow with the help of the house. Shy and keeps to himself most days.

Tom Jones – Kate’s dad and Janice’s husband. A bit complacent with letting Janice make the rules and follows her lead. Does not want to make waves.

Dasme – one of my favorite side characters which is why I wrote a short story just for him. He’s indignant and tiny and would make a great hobbit since he loves second and third lunches.

The house – mmmmm. I think I’ll keep that one for now.
